Jat Kingdom of Bharatpur

Once upon a time, in the bustling city of Delhi, there lived a young man named Ranveer. He belonged to a family of Rajputs, who were a warrior group and participated in the military labor market of north India. The Rajputs had emerged as a consolidated group of 20 major clans in the 16th-17th century, with a horizontal structure of polity, where the local chief of each clan ruled their respective territory. Ranveer was proud of his Rajput heritage and was well aware of their history. He often used to read about their battles and alliances with the Mughals, Marathas, and other kingdoms. One day, while browsing through a book on Rajputs, he came across the name of Maharaja Surajmal of Bharatpur. Ranveer was fascinated by Surajmal's military tactics and administrative reforms, and he decided to visit Bharatpur to know more about him. On reaching Bharatpur, Ranveer went straight to the palace and met the Maharaja's daughter, Deepika. She was a beautiful young woman with a fierce intellect and a passion for history. Deepika was surprised to see a young man so interested in history and Rajput culture, and they soon struck up a conversation. They talked about the Jat kingdom of Bharatpur, which was set up by Churaman Jat with the help of revolts by peasants against the oppression due to the over-extraction of land revenue by the Mughals. Deepika was impressed by Ranveer's knowledge and passion for history. They started meeting regularly, discussing not just Rajput history but also the other kingdoms and dynasties of north India. They talked about the Afghan kingdom in the north, the Rohilkhand and Farrukhabad kingdoms, and the Mysore kingdom in the south. Deepika was surprised by Ranveer's in-depth knowledge of these kingdoms, and they often had long conversations about them. As time passed, Ranveer and Deepika developed a strong bond, and they started sharing their personal stories and dreams. Ranveer told Deepika about his love for her, and she was hesitant at first, but soon reciprocated his feelings. They decided to get married and informed their families about their decision. Ranveer's family was initially hesitant as Deepika belonged to a different kingdom, but after seeing how happy they were together, they gave their blessings. Deepika's family also agreed, and the two got married in a grand ceremony that was attended by dignitaries from all over north India. Ranveer and Deepika continued their passion for history and started exploring the different kingdoms of India together. They travelled to the Mysore kingdom, where they were awed by the grandeur of Tipu Sultan's palace and his military tactics. They also visited the Rohilkhand and Farrukhabad kingdoms, where they learned about the Bangash Pathans and the political instability in the Mughal polity that allowed them to set up their kingdoms. As they travelled and explored, Ranveer and Deepika's love for each other grew stronger. They realized that their shared passion for history had brought them together, and they were grateful for the chance to share their lives with each other. They returned to Delhi and settled down, happy in the knowledge that they had found their soulmate in each other.
